Pembroke Rescue & EMS assisted the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) program in an event hosted at Purnell Swett High School located in Pembroke, NC. Pembroke Rescue had the privilege of taking part in a scenario presented to the seniors of Purnell Swett High School prior to prom to deliver the message of the tragedies that drinking and driving can have. New Hanover AirLink landed their helicopter on the football field to make the scenario as surreal as possible.

Community Outreach Programs
Community outreach improves public safety. We engage the community in solving problems that we cannot solve by ourselves. It is about identifying what those particular public safety problems are (i.e., a risk assessment) and then working with them to either prevent them or to mitigate the damage once they do occur.
